I'm Happy to Help

Originally published September 16, 2019

If anyone reads this and works with me, I am happy to help with basically anything.  Physical labor?  You got it.  Menial and boring task?  My pleasure.  Cleaning up or doing something ordinary and routine?  Sure thing.

I try being helpful and I really do my best.  I love doing a great job for people as long as I'm told exactly what they want.  The more direction I am given, the better job I do.  Obviously I can't read minds, but if you approach me and tell me what you want me to do, I will never refuse.  The very worst is that I might be hesitant, depending on the task.

I can surprise people with my work ethic and occasional technical acumen.  At my last job, I was the go-to guy for a lot of things: from the disgusting (plunging full toilets, cleaning up vomit) to the perplexing (why a checkstand isn't working).  If anyone didn't know, I used to work in retail.

Just approach my desk or give me a call.  If you show me how to do something, I generally only have to be shown once, depending on the difficulty of the task.  I also don't give up on jobs or tasks unless I just can't figure it out.  It's very rare that I will leave a job or task unfinished.  I am a bit of a perfectionist that way, and it does not sit well with me to leave a job half-finished.
